The Current Connect envisions becoming the premier student-led hub at the University of Botswana that unites intellectual dialogue with professional development, empowering students to think critically, act purposefully, and transition seamlessly into impactful careers while contributing to national and global progress.
Objectives:
1. Skills Development (Workshops, Mentorships & Certification Programs)
Equip students with both traditional and modern industry-relevant skills through hands-on training, mentorship, and accredited programs that enhance employability and innovation.
2. Career Coaching & Internship Placement
Bridge students’ transition into the workforce by offering structured career coaching, facilitating internships and attachments, and supporting post-placement career tracking.
3. Academic–Industry Bridging (Forums, Panels & Debates)
Foster meaningful dialogue between academia, industry, and society through discussions, debates, and networking events that align classroom learning with real-world demands.
4. Continuous Career Support & Impact Tracking
Provide long-term professional support, mentorship, and impact evaluation to ensure students’ growth remains aligned with evolving industry and community needs.
